Thank you for the honor of serving as your Secretary-Treasurer. I, your administration, and the staff all look forward to serving the membership. Our intention is to build solidarity whether you voted for my administration or not. I ask that all members get involved because without you there is no power.

Secretary-Treasurer Patrick D. Kelly: The Local is happy to announce that we have settled the OCTA contracts. On behalf of our members and the Executive Board we want to thank Business Representatives Donna Metcalfe, Eric Henry and Ruben A. López for their hard work as well as the stewards and the negotiating committees. We also want to thank the members for their patience and solidarity.

Secretary-Treasurer Patrick D. Kelly: The UFCW is in bargaining with the retail grocers. This is an important contract that will have an impact on us very soon. Our contracts are up next September. We urge everyone to continue to shop at Union grocery stores and be prepared to support the UFCW in the event that there is a strike.
